Project Description
Seeking female models (18+) for a fine art photography series using long exposure techniques, in-camera multiple exposures, and light painting. Models can remain anonymous upon request.
Wardrobe can range from fine art nude (21+ only), to boudoir, to fully-clothed. See examples below.
Requirements
Age 18+ with valid photo ID.
Signed model release required.
Closed set. A female studio assistant will be present at all times.
Private changing/prep area provided.
Photography Techniques
This is an experimental, 2-hour session where we will create images that are ethereal and dream-like.
Long Exposure
The camera is set to an exposure time ranging from several seconds up to a minute. We generally try to remain still during this time, allowing tiny movements to add an ethereal, dreamlike quality to the images. We may also create a sense of motion by dragging tulle or similar fabric across the model during the exposure.
In-Camera Multiple Exposure
There are various technical approaches to multiple exposure photography, but the general idea is there are two or more “copies” of the model in the same image. Can be done with or without flash.
Light Painting
In a dark room, the model holds still during an exposure that lasts many seconds. My assistant will move various light sources around the model, creating streaks of light.
